The frozen custard at Sandy’s Hamburgers has made this burger joint an Austin favorite. The desserts, such as the chocolate dipped cone, are incredible, but the burgers are just as delicious. Classic burgers, great price, and notoriously friendly staff make Sandy’s the place to be for a casual lunch before spending an afternoon at Butler Park.
Harrison’s TIP: Sandy’s Hamburgers is close to the trail, so it’s a great place after a run with my dad.
Just across the street from Sandy’s Hamburgers is Butler Park. This park has splashing fountains that will make any kid smile. There are plenty of trails so be sure to bring bikes. Butler Park borders Lady Bird Lake, so the views cannot be beat while playing a pick-up game with family.
TIP: Pet friendly
Both located within 1100 ft of 603 Barton Springs Road.
