MOOJO

Moojo is known for it’s ice cream sandwiches, and nothing is more delicious for beating the heat than 2 delicious cookies with ice cream in the middle.  Another cool story of entrepreneurs who start a cool concept in Austin, and hit the foodie scene with a splash.  It’s close to campus so it’s a favorite among college students, but it’s become an Austin favorite young and old, and the best Cookie Cake aka “Celebration cake” in Austin.

FREEDMEN’S:

Right off of Rio Grande, in the heart of West Campus lies Freedman’s Bar. The spicy rub on the brisket and the fall off the bone ribs make Freedmen’s some of the best BBQ in town, hands down…and the Holy Trinity Plate includes both along with the House-made Sausage! Plus with a nonstop changing cocktail list, it’s fun to try out the Bartender’s Choice, but any of their Whiskey cocktails are perfect pair with BBQ.  Ask for the Bartender’s Choice. The outdoor seating is casual and one of the most inviting patios in the city… and easily accommodates larger groups.

TIP: Open Tues-Wed & Sund 11am-10pm, Thur-Sat 11am-12am, closed Mon. Preorders, Pick up Orders, Catering & Private Parties available
