Factory cafe is known as the “Cafe with a Soul” and it’s apparent once the doors are open. Huge swings hanging from the ceiling, cozy corners, magazines, books and a room designed like someone’s family room to chillax for hours. It’s not an ideal spot for work or anything requiring wifi (in fact, it’s strictly discouraged), but for conversation, and the coffee and food are a delight.
If you’ve been drinking and chatting all day at Factory, and want something more substantial to eat, Bartletts is perfect and right down the street. Celebrating independence from a national chain, Austinites proudly embrace Bartlett’s as being a locally owned and operated restaurant. A classy, elegant environment with warm staff and delicious food for lunch or dinner, Bartlett’s is a sure win for a perfect date. Try the Bourbon Mushroom Pate for an appetizer and the Famous French Dip Sandwich or Roasted Prime Rib for entree.
TIP: Gluten Free Menu Available. Reservations made online or call 512.451.7333.
Around the corner from Bartlett’s is Freytag’s Florist, a local company providing plants, flowers, and cards since 1974. They have a variety of contemporary and modern plants and displays, along with the traditional red roses and plants. If you didn’t have a chance to pick up a gift, flowers or a card, stop by their store for an impromptu surprise for your date.
TIP: They have online ordering available on link above.
Less than 500 feet from Bartletts and Freytag’s is The Goodnight, a great place to enjoy hours of fun on a date night. Bowling, Karoke, Shuffleboard and Pool are only a few choices for entertainment along with snacks, cocktails and desserts, including a Chocolate Fudge Cake with house smoked bacon. Perfect.
TIP: Open 11am-midnight daily and 2am on Fri & Sat. Bowling and Karoke Reservations can be made online.
All 3 venues located within 500 feet of 2408 W Anderson Lane in Allendale neighborhood.
