Started by the same group behind the geniuses behind Ramen Tatsu-ya, Kemuri Tatsu-ya opened with the same 3 ingredients for a great restaurant…good food, great drinks and excellent service. The inside is a cozy, “almost like a true Asian” restaurant with one of the coolest patios in the city. Try their sake flight, and their street corn; although, every item on the menu is delicious.
After or before a meal at Kemuri, continue the cool outdoor patio scene with Grizzelda’s and Jacoby’s. Grizzeldas is an upscale Tex Mex spot, started by the same group behind Jacoby’s and quickly a favorite. It’s hard to compete in this foodie city with an Austin staple, but their ingredients are fresh, the service is top notch, and the atmosphere is one of the best spots in the city at the bar, indoors and outdoors on their awesome patio. Definitely get this place a try!
Jacoby’s has a modern rustic charm that makes this restaurant feel like you are in a close friend’s kitchen. The patio is spacious and comfortable, the perfect place to enjoy a Southern style meal. The deviled eggs are phenomenal and a delightful option for an appetizer. The brunch menu will be announced soon but in the meantime be sure to place reservations because Jacoby’s is certainly the place to be.
Established in 1997, the Live Oak Brewing Co. has been making a name for themselves as a state favorite. The popular brewery tour is a fun way to learn about the oldest brewery in Austin. The tour is a great way to spend an afternoon on date, with a group, or with a visitor to Austin. Order a round of the beloved Hefeweizen or the seasonal Oaktoberfest.
