There is no better restaurant in town to enjoy a beautiful evening at than the County Line BBQ. This famous restaurant sits beside Lake Austin. There is space for kids to run around and enjoy day before sitting down to eat. The beef ribs are delicious, as is the wonderful basket of bread that is brought to each table.
Harrison’s TIP: Go to the County Line on the Lake. You can feed the ducks and turtles before and after you eat. Order the kids brisket plate and homemade bread.
TIP: Open Sun-Mon 11 am-9 pm, Tues-Thurs 11 am-9:30 pm, Fri-Sat 11 am-10 pm, multiple area locations
Down the road from the County Line BBQ is Mt. Bonnell. The hike to reach the top takes only a few minutes and the view is absolutely worth it. There is a stone pagoda to sit out while soaking up the scenery. The sights of the Hill Country don’t get any better than they are atop Mt. Bonnell.
TIP: Visit during sunset to snap a great family photo.
Both located within 3.2 miles of 5204 Ranch Road 2222.
